Getting Started

Your first setup in POSYX

This guide helps you go from “just logged in” to a store that’s ready to sell — with clean inventory and reliable stock tracking.

1) Configure Settings

Set currency and store preferences first.

2) Create Products

Add products with correct price, SKU and (optional) barcode.

3) Record Opening Stock

Use Stock Count or Cash Purchases to build accurate inventory.

Roles: Admin vs Cashier

POSYX supports role-based access. Admins can manage inventory and configuration. Cashiers are focused on sales and operational views. If something looks “read-only”, it’s usually role protection.

  • View reports
Cashier
  • Process sales
  • View products and customers
  • View reports (read-only)
